Thursday 25th September 2014

Schroder Property has announced the appointments of two property analyst roles within its Global Property Securities (GPS) team.
This week’s announcement today follows the decision to bring the investment management of the Global Property Securities funds in-house in July 2014.
Jon Consolo, has joined from Deutsche Bank Asset Management where he was a real estate securities analyst covering Continental Europe. Based in Schroders office in London, his primary responsibility will be to cover the European markets.
Ryan Bennett will join the team in October and will be based in the Schroders New York office. Ryan has 7 years’ experience covering North American REITs and has previously held roles at Zelman & Associates, Barclays and Lehman Brothers.
Tom Walker, Co-Head of Global Property Securities at Schroders, said: “The addition of Jon and Ryan complements the existing resources we have within the Global Property Securities team and the broader Schroders business. Their impressive experience, knowledge and track record of analysing listed real estate will assist us in providing investors with sustainable and long term returns in this asset class.”
“Having taken the strategic decision to bring the fund management of our property securities funds in-house, we are delighted to have hired two talented analysts to demonstrate our commitment to this asset class. We now have the appropriate platform in place to provide investors with strong returns in this growing sector. With the transition of the portfolios complete, we can now concentrate on building the business further,” added Andrew Robbens, Client Portfolio Manager at the firm.
