CF Miton UK Value Opportunities Fund surpasses £100m AUM

Wednesday 3rd September 2014

The CF Miton UK Value Opportunities Fund has passed through £100 million in assets under management (AUM).
The fund, managed by George Godber and Georgina Hamilton and launched in March 2013, has returned 29.8% compared to a rise of 13.9% for the FTSE All Share and 14.8% for the average fund in the sector.
The UK Value Opportunities Fund joins the CF Miton UK Smaller Companies Fund as the second of the firm’s UK equity strategies launched recently to surpass the £100m mark.
The Fund invests mainly in UK companies that Godber and Hamilton consider to be undervalued by the market. The fund has recently benefitted from strong performance from Vertu Motors, African Barrick Gold and Galliford Try.
Commenting on the success, Godber said: “Georgina and I are unashamedly focused on stock picking and continue to find undervalued, attractive companies in this challenging economic environment. Our focus on companies with robust financial positions and strong cash generation continues to stand us in good stead.”
Miton’s Head of Sales, Neil Bridge added: “A rigorous investment approach combined with very strong performance has attracted strong support from a breadth of investors in what is a very competitive market sector.”
