Halifax Share Dealing offers commission-free time
Wednesday 17th March 2010

Execution-only broker Halifax Share Dealing is rewarding customers by removing the £11.95 online commission charge for the purchase of any UK-listed stock between 12pm and 3pm TODAY (Wednesday 17 March 2010).
This is the second time this style of promotion has been offered to customers. In response to the phenomenal take up rate of the first offer, there are plans to run a series of short commission-free periods over the coming months.
Future "deal time" promotions are likely to cover a variety of stocks and markets, enabling customers to diversify their investment portfolios into other sectors.
Rick Girling, Head of Business Development at Halifax Share Dealing, said: "We saw a significant increase in the number of buy trades the last time we ran this promotion in November 2009. The promotion was much more successful than we were anticipating but despite this were able to process all the orders; we have the systems in place and reliability of service to be able to cope with the increased level of customer demand.
"We plan to rotate the days, times and markets offered as part of the promotion to help our customers diversify their investment portfolios in a cost-effective way."
