Investor Today is a web site aimed to empower amateur and professional investors alike by offering the tools to take control of their own portfolio. From day-traders to medium and longer-term investors, the news updates and discussion forums offer a start-point for research and discussion for novices or seasoned investors
Investor Today is fronted by its Editor-in-Chief Victoria Hartley, an industry expert in Personal Finance and Business Journalism with years of finance and reporting experience. Victoria Hartley qualified from Goldsmiths with an MA in radio journalism in 1998 and after a stint as editorial assistant at The Times moved into financial journalism in 2000. From her start as assistant editor on offshore personal finance and business titles Offshore Business, Emirates Investor and Investment International, she rose through the ranks to news editor of Mortgage Introducer, a position she held for nearly two years. Still at Charterhouse Communications, she was promoted to edit What Mortgage magazine, which she redesigned during her two years at the helm and then left Charterhouse after six years to edit and re-launch corporate and consumer credit trade title Credit Today for Athene Publishing in London Bridge. In October 2007, Victoria left Credit Today to launch her freelance career and continues to write for both consumer and trade press, including Guardian Unlimited, Which?Money, Moneywise, cashquestions.com, Credit Today, Mortgage Finance Gazette, What Investment and Exchange Traded Funds Magazine among others.
Investor Today was launched on 1st July 2009, in response for the needs of Investors looking for returns and needing more advice and guidance than ever in troubled financial markets. www.Investortoday.co.uk wants to cut out the frustrations of one-size-fits-all, top down assumptions and instead, empower and enthuse visitors to make decisions and test out new knowledge. Getting the risk appetite right is key, but Investortoday.co.uk visitors don’t want providers or financial advisers to make decisions for them; they want to make decisions, take responsibility and ride out the outcome in a community of like-minded investors.
Over the next few weeks and months Investor Today will develop its brand and ideas. If you have any ideas of what Investor Today should include please contact our marketing manager Mike here..... email@example.com
