euro rises against dollar but zone threat still lingers

The euro increased against the US dollar this morning following a series of losses.
But concern still remains about Euro zone viabilty and, as a result, the euro remains close to its lowest level for many months.
Disappointment at a lack of positive outcome from the weekend's G7 meeting on dealing with the debt issues of countries such as Greece, Portugal and Spain continues to weigh heavily on investor minds.
